As part of our Community Outreach programme some MVDF members brought CNY festive cheer to 9 senior citizens from the 7 households whom they had been visiting regularly in Eunos Crescent. Devotees from Mangala Vihara Buddhist Temple had generously contributed more than $500 which were used to purchase CNY goodies, biscuits, canned food, cereals, health beverages, towels, toothpaste and toothbrushes for the recipients. Each resident also received a ‘hong bao’ and a pair of oranges for good luck. The gifts were received with great joy and appreciation – thanks to all who have kindly donated in cash or kind. Sadhu, sadhu, sadhu.
