On 15 January 2012, 15 members visited seven lonely seniors staying in Eunos. This time round, the visit was special because it was during the Chinese New Year period.
All of us could see the gladness and happiness on the faces of the seniors. On this joyous occasion, we brought along some gifts including 3-in-1 Milo, towels and other daily neccessities. We also gave out Mandarin oranges and Angpows which had significance and customary for the Chinese New Year season. All gifts were contributed by members.
Our efforts, though limited, had gone a long way to show the seniors that there had not been forgotten and they were really touched by our visit.
It could not come at a more opportune time to do dana for these old folks around the festival season of CNY to share the joy and soaked in the happy mood with them. I missed the opportunity as it coincided with my visit to Pontian with Bhante Raja on his monthly trip. Sadhu! Sadhu! Sadhu!
